This is a pair of French clip earrings in an antique bronze finish and features a 2003 postage stamp from Monaco. The stamp depicts "Girl sitting on a springboard" by Jean-Gabriel Domergue from the Poster Art Series.
Jean-Gabriel Domergue (1889 - 1962) was born in Bordeaux, France, and claimed to be the "Inventor of the Pin-up Girl". In his late teens and twenties, he was known mainly as a Landscape painter, but from the 1920s, he painted women. The image used for this stamp was from a 1950c Monte Carlo poster.
The images were taken from a real, used, vintage postage stamp and may have post office cancellation marks.
Size of earring is 18mm and they are lead and nickel free.
Earrings are water resistant but not waterproof, I recommend removing before showering, bathing or swimming.
