This necklace features a 2010 Czech Republic stamp commemorating Alfonso Mucha and is part of the 150th anniversary series.
“Alfons Mucha, born July 24, 1860 in the small Moravian town of Ivančice (today in the Czech Republic), is one of the best-known artist of the international Art Nouveau movement. But in spite of his wide-spread fame, very few people know that, starting in 1918, Mucha also designed stamps for his native country, the newly-founded state of Czechoslovakia.. Because of this, the Czechoslovak Post Office honored the designer of its first stamp many time over the years with various memorial stamps.”
The image was taken from a real, used, vintage postage stamp and may have post office cancellation marks.
The size of the pendant is 38mm and the chain is 18 inches long, in a matching antique bronze finish with a lobster clasp.
Pendants are water resistant but not waterproof, I recommend removing before showering, bathing or swimming.
